England's top flight - the most-watched league on earth and the original home of the Saturday-morning predictions game. Pick one of all 20 Premier League clubs each week to win. Get it right and you survive; a draw or a defeat and you're out. The last player standing wins the pool.
Each gameweek you back one of all 20 Premier League clubs to win. Survive and you go again; slip up and you're out.
Decide what a wipeout does - everyone back in, survivors play on, or a shared win - along with used-team resets and whether joining reopens.
Send one invite code to the group chat. Everyone makes their pick from their phone before the deadline.
Name it, pick Premier League, choose your rollover and used-team rules, and share the invite code.
Each gameweek every player backs one club to win. You can't re-use a club until the rules reset.
Win and you go through; draw or lose and you're out. The final survivor wins the pool.
Premier League Last Man Standing is the classic version of the game for a reason: there are enough obvious favourites to feel safe and enough shock results to guarantee a wipeout round or two every season. The pool usually thins fastest in the first fortnight, when everyone burns the same two or three title contenders at home, and again in December, when midweek fixtures and rotated squads make the form book worthless.
With twenty clubs and a used-team rule, the real skill is rationing. A player who spends the biggest clubs in the first six rounds arrives at the winter derbies with nothing but mid-table sides on awkward away trips. The survivors tend to be the ones who backed a promoted club at home in an early round when it was unfashionable, and kept a top-four side in reserve for the week the fixture list turned ugly.
The weeks to fear are the ones the schedule builds in: derby weekends, the round after a European week, the run of games over Christmas, and the final day, when clubs with nothing to play for do strange things. A pool that has agreed its rollover and team-reset rules before round one gets through those weeks without a group-chat argument, which is why both are per-pool settings here rather than something the organiser has to remember.
Each gameweek you pick one of all 20 Premier League clubs to win. If they win, you survive to the next round; if they draw or lose, you're knocked out. You can't pick the same club twice until your used-team list resets. The last player standing wins the pool.
That's the owner's call when they set the pool up. By default the pool restarts: everyone is back in for the next gameweek, including anyone knocked out earlier, with used teams cleared. The owner can instead let only the players knocked out that week play on, or have them share the win.
Not until your used-team list resets - rationing the strong Premier League clubs across the season is a core part of the challenge. The owner can allow re-use, or reset used teams on a rollover.
As many as you like - it's free, and the bigger the pool the longer it tends to run before someone takes it.
Plan a few gameweeks ahead instead of grabbing the biggest club every round. Strong favourites at home are the classic banker - but everyone else picks them too, so one shock result can wipe out half the pool while a braver pick sails through. Check the upcoming fixtures before you commit, be wary of derbies and awkward away trips, and remember you can't reuse a club until the list resets: burning all your bankers in the first month is the most common way to go out.
