Championship Predictor 2026/27 - Free Predictions League Game

England's second tier: 24 clubs, 46 games and a promotion race so chaotic it's the hardest division in Europe to call. Predict every Championship scoreline against your friends - 5 points for the exact score, 2 for the right result (or set your own). Private or public leagues, invite codes, and standings that update themselves as results come in.

What you get

Predict every scoreline

Call the score of all 46 matchdays of Championship fixtures. 5 points for an exact score, 2 for the right result - or set your own scoring per league.

Locks at kick-off

Every prediction seals at its own kick-off, so nobody edits a score once the early game has finished.

Private or public

Spin up a private league and share the invite code with your group, or list it public for anyone to join.

Run a Championship predictions league in 60 seconds

1. Create the league

Name it, pick Championship, set your scoring and invite your friends with a code.

2. Predict the scores

Everyone fills in scorelines before each deadline. Forgot to predict? A missed match scores as 0-0 by default so one bad weekend doesn't kill your run - organisers can change it.

3. Climb the table

Results sync automatically, points are awarded, and the standings plus the reveal grid update on their own.

Predicting the Championship: forty-six games of chaos

The Championship is the division that humbles score predictors. Twenty-four clubs play forty-six games each, the gap between top and bottom is narrower than in any of Europe's top flights, and a side can go from the play-off places to a relegation scrap inside a month. Draws are more common than in the Premier League and low scores more common still, so the safe-looking 2-0 home win pays out far less often than it does upstairs.

That makes the Championship a league where the result points, not the exact scores, decide most weeks. Predicting the right outcome in nine or ten of twelve fixtures is a good round; the exact scores come from the patterns the division does produce - 1-0 and 1-1 far more than 3-2 - and from the handful of fixtures each week where one side is in genuinely bad form. Parachute-payment clubs coming down from the Premier League are the closest thing to bankers, and even they lose at home to sides in the bottom six more often than their supporters expect.

The schedule is the other challenge. Midweek rounds arrive throughout the season, Easter brings two games in four days, and the play-offs add a mini-tournament at the end. Locking each prediction at its own kickoff means a Tuesday-night round does not need a separate deadline announcement, and the reveal grid shows everyone's calls as soon as each match starts.

FAQ

How does the Championship predictions league work?

Everyone predicts the scoreline of every Championship fixture before kick-off. An exact score is worth 5 points, the right result (win, draw or lose) 2, and a miss zero - though you can change the scoring when you create the league. Predictions lock at each match's kick-off and the table updates automatically as results come in.

Which Championship matches are included?

Every fixture across all 46 matchdays of the Championship, synced from football-data.org so results and the table keep themselves up to date.

Can I make it private for just my mates?

Yes. Create a private league and share the invite code - only people with the code can join. Or list it as public so anyone can find and join it.

Can I change the points?

Yes - set your own values for an exact score and for the right result when you create the league, plus an optional default score for anyone who forgets to predict.

When do predictions lock?

Each prediction locks at that fixture's kick-off, so nobody can edit a score with the benefit of hindsight once a match has started.

Is it free?

Yes - free to play, with no subscription and no in-app purchases. Visitors who aren't signed in see a small number of ads on our public pages, which cover the hosting; signed-in members never see ads. We never handle money.
